The DEA is out with its annual report on the drug trade, and it warns that the Mexican cartels will use state laws which take the criminality out of marijuana as a Trojan horse to push its own product as reported by Richard Fausset for the Los Angeles Times:  “the report warns, darkly, that drug cartels will ‘increasingly exploit the opportunities for marijuana cultivation and trafficking created in states that allow ‘medical marijuana’ grows and have legalized marijuana sales and possession.”

The wacky weed is the favorite for American druggies.

According to the report pot smuggling from Mexico has remained “consistently high” over the last decade, and production in America “is on the rise — in part due to large-scale U.S. growing operations controlled by Mexican traffickers.”

Meanwhile, U.S. authorities last week made a record marijuana seizure — 20,375 pounds worth $10.1 million — on the Mexico-Arizona border as reported by Phil Benson for KPHO.

Annoy the cartels by legalizing drugs all over the world.
