The Mexican government has abandoned the good people of Michoacán state to the drug cartels, and now Catholic priests are supporting citizen groups in taking back their communities as reported by David Agren for USA Today: “Catholic Bishop Miguel Patiño Velázquez of Apatzingán is one of many Catholic priests who don’t discourage their parishioners from arming themselves to put an end to criminal groups accused of everything from running extortion rackets to kidnapping people for ransom to making methamphetamine.”
Father Red Pfeifer from San Antonio, TX has survived two assassination attempts for his public crusade against the narco devil in southern Mexico as reported by Randy Escamilla for WOAI.
